| Cool, controlled, and effortlessly arrogant, the man is a born leader. He is charismatic, commanding, and confident. Very aware of the merest social nuances, he can turn the tide in a conversation or debate. Manipulative to the nth degree, Brad Crawford isn't afraid to use people to his advantage. He can be positively urbane when he wants something from a person, but the moment that unlucky someone's usefulness runs dry, Brad shows no hesitation in discarding them. Although he possesses a rather good 'game face', Brad is quite often visually emotional. He can be quite expressive, and reading him can be easy. But looks can often be deceiving. One of Crawford's weaknesses (of sorts) is his love for his own voice. He enjoys hearing himself talk, and he does so. A lot. It is said that actions speak louder than words. What can't be expressed through action is more often than not expressed through words. When he wants to be, Brad can be painfully articulate and dangerously persuasive. As cultured and sophisticated as he is, mannered smoothness cannot hide the fact that Crawford absolutely enjoys violence, in all its forms. For him, the ends never justify the means, for there's nothing to 'justify', as long as the job gets done to his satisfaction. His ambition knows no boundaries, which is a frighening thing when applied to a man with little to no morals in the whole of his being. In a word, the man is a megalomaniac. |

| The only son of a wealthy family in upstate New York, Brad was fortunate in every way possible, to the outside eye. A good education, loving parents, everything he could ever need or want. The boy was practically guaranteed a spot in high society. But all was not picture-perfect beneath the fixed, smiling surface. The Mr. and Mrs. weren't as happily married as it was believed. Affairs and scandal ruled their small, narrow lives. They could spare no time for their son, who they left in the care of professional nannies, women trained and paid to raise the all-but-forgotten children for too-busy couples with money to spare. By the time he reached his teenage years, Brad was quite prepared for the world of the high-class. Mannered and cultured, he was the perfect ideal of what the ideal son should be. He had developed the knack of discreetly manipulating the factors around him, from simple conversation to the very thoughts and actions of the unwary. A simple word slipped in to the discussion at the right moment, a mere suggestion put forth in passing. He gave his trust to no one, while gaining everyone else's in return. Then came his university education. Being the privileged child he was, gaining entrance to the prestigious Oxford University presented little difficulty. Nothing but the best for Brad Crawford. A model student, he held the highest average grade in his class during his secondary education. It was only natural that he would excel at Oxford, amidst the elite. Upon graduation (only natural), Crawford took to the road, figuratively speaking. He spent the next few years after his accomplishment drifting from country to country, taking up many various occupations along the way. Always toward furthering his ambitions, his megalomaniacal dreams. Extending the reach of his influence. |
